WHAT A DAY! SIMULATION

Improve leadership effectiveness.

WhatADay is an intensive team experience simulating the everyday’s challenges of managers asked to respond continuously to requests for help, to a large inflow of emails and calls, to the resolution of people-related conflicts, to the need to motivate collaborators and peers, to ask good questions, seize opportunities for new projects, and to react to incoming customers’ requests and expectations.


Objectives:

  • Understanding how our collaboration behavior changes when we face complex management dilemmas under time pressure

  • Becoming aware of your own Leadership style in crisis situations

Scenario: 
A customer project has two weeks of delay. Up to here the delay is not still a critic, but the customer has to amplify this delay and the requests are not easy to deliver. Our project manager Suzanne had a negative contact with Philippe (the customer), what increased the problems of the boss of Suzanne: Walther. This last one concluded that from it Suzanne is not rather competent and wants to replace her by Roger. But as Roger must be taken by another project, he needs your assistance for the movement …


Challenges addressed:

  • Allocating time and priorities in facing multiple parallel challenges,

  • Attention management when accessing or processing information,

  • Diagnosing dynamically unfolding situations correctly,

  • Monitoring the achievement of objectives (to resolve the different critical situations)

  • Keeping the whole team highly motivated

  • Engaging in communications whit different characters throughout the problems identification and resolution process
